Hi, I'm Ryan

I’m an innovative and strategic product design leader with 10 years of experience in creating user-centric solutions, managing design systems, and driving product strategy. I have had extensive experience collaborating with C-suite executives while developing scalable DesignOps frameworks that foster a mature culture of constructive critique by standardized knowledge sharing and critique methods.

My leadership style brings a design thinking approach to the table to deliver impactful products that balance business objectives with user needs. I thrive in dynamic environments where versatility is valued, and I'm always eager to contribute beyond traditional role boundaries.  I often act as a product manager just as much as a design leader. 

Back in 2020, I changed my morning commute from a walk to a NYC subway to an early alarm to feed my goats and chickens in Austin, TX. When I log off from Figma, you will most likely find me outside with my animals, having fun with an embroidery machine or with my daughter.

My product building journey began over 10 years ago while studying Human-Computer Interaction at The Ohio State University. This foundation in Human-Computer Interaction has enabled me to effectively study, empathize with, and integrate user needs into technological solutions. My career has spanned multiple industries, collaborating with early-stage startups, often pre-funding, and even co-founding my own venture.

I'm particularly passionate about developing products that break down operational barriers in the mobility sector, as well as enhancing marketplace experiences and advancing operational solutions. My expertise lies in translating complex user needs into intuitive designs that drive business growth and user satisfaction.


Before joining SkillsEngine, as the Senior Product Designer for Zipcar's Fleet Operations Team, I led the discovery and design to introduce a custom fleet management platform developed to leverage vehicle data to improve member expectations and NPS. With a fleet of over 3000+ vehicles, providing the team with vehicle-centric visibility into all issues will increase revenue by operationalizing fleet management, reducing repair times and improving overall customer cleanliness expectations.
